I can not even begin to explain how great photographing this family was! First of all, they are all gorgeous and when they are together you can tell no one wants to be anywhere else. In fact, they draw you in and when you are around them, you are a part of them. They all made me laugh and smile. They drew me into their wonderful world for 2 hours and inspired me artistically. Secondly, talent abounds! From internships to Africa to playing on a college volleyball team before high school graduation even occurs, these folks are full of determination and great abilities! The two girls attend Furman University and even though only one is technically a "high school student", it is never to late to capture images of youth and beauty like these two sisters share. I was so blessed to have that chance. Big brother and his wife are newly weds so I had the pleasure of hearing about their fabulous wedding. They have a whole new life to explore together with the support of their amazing family. Mom and Dad were proud of the kids but really still have eyes for each other - so sweet!I always love it when I am privileged to photograph whole families in addition to my seniors. The results are images like these that show family connections which they will all look back on for years to come. And Mom has her family pictures now! Thanks for looking and your comments are very welcome!

This photo session began on a beautiful afternoon in Winter Park and starred Stephen - an almost graduate of Lake Brantley High School Class of 2012. This young man is incredibly active in his school, in athletics and while we did his session, he discussed all the options he had going for him after graduation. Decisions, decisions, decisions! I'm positive where ever he plans to attend school will be a better place because of him!We began down at the water and for once the breezy day was not a problem - no hair flying in his face! The clothes he brought were perfect. Solids and good clean colors that looked fantastic on him. He has a great smile and wonderful sparkly eyes and it was fantastic photographing him. We were at Rollins and I have raved about how wonderful it is there for sessions - the architecture, natural scenery and just the fun of having senior portratis done on a college campus. This session worked out splendidly! I loved it when his gorgeous Mom jumped in for a few shots and we ended up with some images the whole family will enjoy!I have been booking lots of Class of 2012 seniors even though school is definitely winding down. Usually my last senior sessions are late April or early May so this year is no different. Tans are still fresh from Spring Break and hair and nails - for girls, lol - are perfect because of prom. It really makes lots of sense, too because ...

I'm excited to share this post about HANNAH! She is senior this year but I first met her a few years ago when I photographed her for images to use at her sweet sixteen party. She was just 15 then but has always had an amazing look for the camera. I was so surprised and delighted at the subtle changes in Hannah - she was beautiful then but her look has matured as she has become a serious schloar and student athlete.About this session: I photographed Hannah at her grandfather's home in New Smyrna Beach with a serene and gorgeous setting. I encourage clients to consider their own home or property as a possible location if it offers a variety of colors, textures and settings. This creates a unique photo session that can not be duplicated by anyone else, anywhere else and that makes for an extra-special set of images. I loved Hannah's clothing choices and her accessories. When Hannah smiles, her eyes light up and when she doesn't, that air of mystery is so fabulous! One of her favorite colors - Duke blue! - looked fantastic with the seaside shades all around us and I totally enjoyed how creative and serene the images from this session were. Hannah is a rower so it made perfect sense to have her session at a place where the water was all around.Enjoy looking at her images and feel free to leave a comment!

This has been a wonderful season of high school seniors who happen to have brothers and sisters who are being photographed with them - what fun! I always enjoy family sessions combined with a senior (or two) session. Their mom and dad and cousin came along to their session - at Baldwin Park - and I so enjoyed chatting with everyone about the history of these two.She is a tiny thing but full of life and intelligence with sparkling eyes and a gorgeous smile. Her hair was beautiful all session long even though we had a challenge with the winds that were continually blowing strands into her face. She is soon to be a Florida Gator and watch out Gainesville when this very lovely young lady gets to town. Her brother was so cooperative during our session and some of my favorite shots are of the two of them together. According to this mom of twins, she out weighed him at birth and through early childhood - but those days are long gone! He looked great - very handsome - in the clothing he brought and those black and white images have such an urban, edgey feel to them. Baldwin Park offers so many great areas to photograph - natural areas around the lake and cool urban streets! I still have lots of aras there I look forward to exploring. The next few weeks are full of sessions I am really excited about - seniors that are getting so excited about graduation and beyond! I will be posting lots ...

This one was a session that I completely enjoyed. I have been photrographing these two for years - back in the days of braces and her being taller than him! Every year their mom - who I loved from the minute I met her - would call and schedule a session to capture images of them year by year. Their grandparents from Peru took part in one of our session a few years back. I was always captivated by their sweet smiles and obvious love for each other. Now, she is about to graduate from high school and he will be a senior next year. I am amazed at how quickly time has flown but they are the same sweet kids they have always been. She has grown more beautiful inside and out and he is kind and so protective of his sister and mom. We had our session at Baldwin Park before the spring had begun. These images were taken down by the lake, at the waterfalls on Broad Street and on some of the side streets surrounded by urban townhouses. Baldwin Park has some great variety and is one of my favorite new places to photograph. The good thing, also, is there are lots of great little restuarants and some cute shops so you can make a day of it after your session!I am finishing up my 2012 sessions in the next few weeks and there are lots of great ones to come. If you still are interested in senior pictures for your announcments and to capture the beautiful you before you step away from high school - ...

Many photographers plan their entire days and even weeks around the time that the sun goes down. They check weather reports hoping for just the right amount of cloud cover to insure a beautiful sky full of colors for their photographs. I could almost say that happened to me before this session but actually, the weather report called for clear skies even though this session was scheduled for sunset. What this senior and I didn't know, was that we were about to be surprised by an amazing display in the sky over the still waters of the lake. The colors in the sky were reflected perfectly in the water and we just had the best time photographing her with all that color behind her. By the way, the sweet afternoon light on her face just made her glow and her clothes were perfect. Thank for looking and as always, your comments are welcomed.
